About Me

  • Started 2008 at 188 and unable to climb a flight of stairs without being winded. As of February 24, 2008, I've lost 17 pounds and can now climb a flight of stairs with relative ease. I still have a long way to go.

  • I'm not sure there is one yet.

  • At the end of 2007 I was over 54 pounds overweight and in the worst shape of my life.

  • I plan on doing a 5K this summer. And I'm kind of hoping I'll be able to make it back down to the 130's by then, too.

  • Krav Maga or some other hand-to-hand combat. I discovered Karate last summer and I've been a fan ever since.

  • Winter and being stuck indoors on the elliptical for the bulk of my cardio. Don't get me wrong - the elliptical is great - but it gets really boring day after day.

  • I just keep telling myself I need to be healthy and keep reminding myself how good working out makes me feel (both physically and mentally). I guess I've reached a point in my life where I finally "get it" and want to take care of my health.

  • If I'm sweating buckets and out of breath and feel fatigued (in a good way) then I've gotten a good workout. I know my workout is getting too easy when I'm not even slightly achey the day afterward.
