Gone is the myth of the delicate pregnancy. It is good for you to keep up your activities as long as you feel like doing them, and as long as your doctor has not ordered bedrest for you. In fact, once your new baby arrives, you will need lots of strength for things like lifting carseats, holding the baby for feelings, and for bending over during diaper changes and bath times. It is a good idea to take the time now to develop that strength and tighten muscles that will be chronically tight (chest, biceps, and lower back). Talk to other new moms when you can-you'll both benefit from it!
