  • Secure tube up high on a horizontal pole or close as assist strap in the top of a doorway. Hold handles with palms facing down. Keep your feet together and knees slightly bent.

  • Pull your shoulders back then bring your elbows under your shoulders. Push your hands down until your elbows are straight, squeezing your triceps like a fist, then return your elbows to a 90 degree bend.

  • Arms

  • Triceps brachii

  • TIP: Keep your knees slightly bent in order to maintain neutral spine. To make this exercise more difficult, pause at the bottom and squeeze your triceps for 2-5 seconds.

Variations for Tricep Extension

  • Tris And Traps

This is one of the best posture promoters to help get rid of slouched posture.

  • Tricep Kickback

This variation is more versatile because you can do it no matter what height your fixture is for securing your tube.

  • Overhead Tricep Extension

If you do not have a place to secure the tube, this is a good option. It strengthens the stability muscles in your arms and shoulders.

  • Incline Tricep Extension

If you have an assist strap or a high fixture where you can secure the tube, this is a great exercise for the whole triceps. It gives your back more of a rest than other triceps exercises since you are not bending forward.
