Crunches - Medicine Ball

Other types of Crunches: Bodyweight Free Weight Machine Stability Ball


  • Pick up a medicine ball then lay down on your back with both knees bent and feet flat on the floor.

  • Hold the medicine ball in your hands about a foot in front of your chest and lift your head and shoulders off the floor, maintaining the shape in your arms. Lower slowly bringing the medicine ball with you.

  • Medicine ball and mat

  • Abdominals  Core 

  • Arms 

  • Rectus abdominis, Transverse abdominis

  • TIP: Perform 3-4 seated head circles and head twists (twist head right and left) before starting this exercise in order to warm up the neck muscles, which will be used during this exercise.
