It is with great excitement that I announce the second Fit Club Donation Based Boot Camp benefiting THE CYCLE PROJECT!
Come out Tuesday, January 4th to start off 2 weeks of our donation based Bootcamp! Join in the healthy fun for a great cause – Help me fight obesity in children and raise the awareness of healthy eating and activity to create healthy lifestyles.
Did you know Obesity increased from 6.5 to 19.6% among 6-11 year olds from 1980 to 2008. This number continues to rise at an alarming rate making this generation of children the first not expected to outlive their parents. The numbers are disturbing and provide only a small glimpse into what is becoming one of our country’s greatest concerns.
I encourage you to extend this invitation to others in your address book - They will thank you for the great workouts and the opportunity to help with such an important cause. Each person you educate and extend this invitation to brings us one step closer to reversing this tragedy.
The boot camp will consist of a unique fusion of resistance, core, functional training and stretching that combines stretch cords, circuits, agility and balance. We have designed it for all ability levels so whether you are just starting back or have been working out for a long time, you are assured to get a great work out!
Our hour-long donation-based boot camps will be held:
Tue January 4 6am & 7:15am
Thu January 6 6am & 7:15am
Sun January 9 10am
Tue January 11 6am & 7:15am
Thu January 13 6am & 7:15am
Sun January 16 10am
We will meet on Santa Monica Beach just north of Ocean Park (email me for exact location)
As we gear up for an exciting first month of 2011 we have set our initial benchmark donation goal of $1500 by January 31st. With your assistance we can reach this goal. DONATIONS ARE NOT REQURIED but are greatly appreciated as every little bit helps. All of your donations will go directly to The Cycle Project and its initial phases to create children appropriate boot camps for local communities, which will then be expanded throughout the country.
Mark your calendar; its time to make your health an important part of your schedule. Be part of The Cycle Project and help improve your life and the lives of our nation’s children.
Let us know if you are going to make it out. An RSVP is not required to attend the events, but is helpful in our preparation.
If you have any questions please call me or email with any information I can help you with. I look forward to seeing you all down at the beach next week!
