About Me

  • I completed my goal last year which was to run every single day no matter what. It was definitely really hard sometimes, like when it was blizzarding and really slippery or when I had the flu. But it was really good for me to learn to be consistent about training...something that doesn't come to me naturally. Now that I have a good fitness base, I am training to finish the Ironman in Louisville this August. I've never been in a triathlon before so I have a lot to do before then!

  • I would have to say completing the Ice Age 50 mile Ultra-marathon in May 2006. It was a cold rainy day and the trails were completely muddy which made running uphill very difficult. It was a heck of a lot of fun.

  • Eating a mouthful of Vaseline at mile 18 during my very first marathon thinking it was GU. That sucked.

  • I just signed up for the Ironman... Holy crap I need to get in a pool with my waterwings and start swimming laps.

    How long does it take to doggie paddle 2.4 miles?

  • Kickboxing. I think it would be funny if I were a kickboxer and most of my decisions are made based on what would be funny.

  • Just getting out the door. Once I am moving, I have no problem pushing myself.

  • Improve performance

  • I have trouble getting started, but once started I workout intensely.

  • I consider myself somewhat of an expert.

  • I am fairly experienced, but by no means an expert.

  • I prefer friendly partners who help me work harder than I do on my own.

  • Evenings (5pm-10pm)
