A half-marathon and its many rewards

By: proctor - June 28, 2007
John Bingham wrote a great article recently on why you just may want to consider the half-marathon as the best distance you could run. The link is here and is a great four to five minute read.

A bit about John Bingham, the author of this article: He has inspired thousands of men and women to run for fun, fitness and self-affirmation. "Marathoning for Mortals", his book which was co-authored by Coach Jenny Hadfield, revolutionized long-distance running and walking. He has popular run-walk breaks built into his training runs which enable even beginners to cover significant distance through these mini-recovery periods. He is not in a hurry to run to the finish line and enjoys the journey along the way. Hence, his slogan was born: Waddle on, friends.
