Hiking in San Diego

About Hiking in San Diego

The San Diego Hiking Club was founded in 1980 for a good reason: there is a lot of great hiking in the area! The Hiking Club has over 100 members and does nearby hikes as well as takes trips to places like the Grand Canyon and Colorado for a longer trip.

Cowles Mountain is the highest point in San Diego at 1592 feet. The Torrey Pines State Reserve is "a wilderness island in an urban sea." There are 2000 acres to enjoy and a nice 2.5 hour hike along the beach trails.
