24 Hour Fitness - 38th Ave
I'm a 28 y.o. female. Student by day; hardcore vampire slayer by night. I want to get myself into peak physical condition, just to see what happens. I have a super high metabolism and I really get off on running and lifting weights. I have two pomeranians and a boyfriend. I want workouts that are more intense.I'm also interested in just about any self defense oriented class, especially ones that are viable for a short, petite girl.
So far, just going to the gym with Patrick has been beautiful. He really knows what he's talking about. Also, the first time I let myself look in the mirror and see my muscles trying to explode out of my arms. It was sweet.
Dropping off from going to the gym because my friends abandoned me and having a low level of motivation thereafter. However, I've learned not to "go with someone" to the gym because the depression that sets in when they don't go or when they hate you really sucks.
My next miniature goal is to be able to - DON'T laugh - lift 25 pounds with each arm, even my pathetic weakling of a LEFT ARM. Dammit, I just want to lob it off sometimes.
Something really intense that an expert could take me through doing, like mountain climbing or something. Or a new sport would be very cool. However, I'm looking around for a local Aikido class; if I can't find one, I might just go back to Kempo.
Making sure I don't overdo it or hurt myself. I have a tendency to do it until I'm dead or injured; it's very hard for me to know my limits. Also, the strength aspect of weight lifting. Trying to lift heavier weights.
I think about hunting vampires :)
A really intense, adrenaline-filled one in which I exceed my own expectations.
I have spurts of consistent exercise, but then go through periods of inactivity.
I am fairly experienced, but by no means an expert.
I have worked out a little but have a lot to learn.
I prefer to exercise alone.
