Indianapolis is a sporty city. Every year it hosts three of the biggest car races in the nation; the Indy 500, Brickyard 400, and Formula One. Also home to the NBA's Pacers and the NFL's Colts, the city features hundreds of great sports facilities for every fitness activity. Amateur and professional cyclists flock to the Lake Sullivan Sports Complex which houses a velodrome, a skatepark, and an indy bmx track. You can get to the complex by taking the White River Wapahani Trail, a greenway that runs for 27 miles from the north to the south of Marion County. For the outdoor fitness nut, there is Eagle Creek Park which encompasses 3,900 acres of park land and includes 1,400 acres of water. You can hike, bike, run, walk, sail, and row at the Eagle Creek. Additionally, there are numerous gyms and health clubs throughout Indianapolis including YMCA - Jordan and Bally Total Fitness - Lafayette; both gyms have several locations in the city.
